Reservation Policies
RENTAL POLICY
DEPOSIT
Single and Multi-Day Rental: 25% per rental booking deposit paid in advance to hold reservation. The balance is due prior to leaving the docks
DAMAGE DEPOSIT
A $1,000 refundable damage deposit is due prior to all rentals on each watercraft rented. A damage deposit will be held for any damages that may occur while the rental equipment is in the possession of the lessee. The deposit will be refunded upon the satisfactory return of the rental equipment.
METHOD OF PAYMENT
Credit cards are welcomed; however, a 3% credit card fee will be applied when a credit card is used. Most credit cards are accepted. Cash or checks are also welcomed. For 2025 we will also be accepting ACH payments via Stripe and there will be no charge to the renter for choosing this payment option.
CANCELLATION POLICY
A 30-day written notice of cancellation required. If a 30-day written notice is issued a $150 cancellation fee will be applied. If you have to cancel your reservation within 30 days of your reservation date the deposit will not be returned.
WEATHER POLICY
If the day is not perfect (overcast, drizzle, spotty showers, cooler temperatures, windy) yet it is considered safe boating conditions, that is still the day you picked and we will proceed with the rental agreement. If it is considered unsafe boating weather for more than half the day, we can switch to another day if available for both parties, give you credit for a future reservation or refund the deposit. Once the boat has been picked up by the renter, no refunds will be issued.
SAFETY EQUIPMENT
Per DNR regulations, lifejackets are provided for the number of passengers rated for each watercraft. A fire extinguisher and a throwable are also included on the pontoon. Renters must be 25 years or older to rent our pontoons and must have a valid driver’s license and a major credit card. Whitefish Pontoon Rentals is not responsible for any accidents, injuries or damages caused directly or indirectly in the use of said equipment.
PET POLICY
No pets are allowed on our pontoons. If pet hair is found in a pontoon, this requires deep cleaning. We can easily see pet hair as it gets into every crack and crevice that we normally do light cleaning on during our regular post - rental cleaning. The fee if pet hair is present at the end of your rental is a minimum $250 cleaning fee.
EXTRA CLEANING FEE
Please respect our boats as you would your own, keeping things as neat and clean as possible. Regular cleaning is included in your rental rate. $50/hour extra cleaning fee may be applied.
GENERAL INFORMATION
Renter assumes all risks and will be responsible for 100% of all costs and expenses of any character, arising from the use, possession, or maintenance of said equipment.
Fuel & Anchors: Each watercraft is sent out with a full tank of gas. You are responsible for any gas you use, and you will be charged for the amount to refill the tank. We provide anchors.
Tipping is allowed and encouraged if our staff has provided you with excellent service!
